Hornaday Jr. scored a second-place finish in tonight’s race, 1.116 seconds behind race winner Kyle Busch. Hornaday Jr. grabbed his second top-five in three races and best finish of the 2008 season.
UNOFFICIALLY Hornaday Jr. is third in the Craftsman Truck Series championship standings, 122 points behind leader Kyle Busch and 50 behind second-place Todd Bodine.
Bodine leads the WIX Filters Lap Leader standings by one race (2-1) over Hornaday Jr.
HORNADAY JR. QUOTES: “You’ve got to be happy the way we ran tonight. Rick Ren and everybody on the Camping World Chevy Silverado did awesome. This is what we’re supposed to do. We set our trucks up for long runs and we knew tires were going to be an issue and we made our truck work. We’ll take that. As out of control as Kyle was and for him to hang on to that to win I knew we had him. That’s why they came in and put four tires on it and made us put four tires on. If he would have stayed on old tires we would have beat ‘em. That’s all we got, all we can do.” THE CAUTIONS AT THE END OF THE RACE DID YOU IN. “That’s why they are NASCAR. They make it safe for us. The rain came and it was pretty heavy down the back. I’d be the first one to complain about it because I drove here when it was wet and slippery.”
