Cabin Air Filter
with BioShield® 75

A new, technologically-advanced cabin air filter can improve the air quality inside passenger cars and trucks. Featuring the EPA-approved BioShield® 75 technology, WIX Filters Cabin Air Filters capture and eliminate odor-causing bacteria, fungi and algae to create a car interior that is virtually free of outside allergens. Cabin air filters, introduced to passenger cars and trucks in the early 1990s, filter pollutants such as dust, soot and gas before it enters the car's interior; the added BioShield® 75 technology also filters out allergens with an invisible microbiostatic coating that becomes part of the filter fiber, polymerizing and standing up like microscopic spikes. Unlike enhancements such as baking soda or charcoal that simply absorb odors, BioShield® 75's 1,000 spikes of protection per the width of a hair trap and eliminate microbials. More than 80 percent of cars manufactured today have cabin air filters, but most car owners don't know if their car has the added feature; check with your automotive dealer or technician to see if your cabin air filter needs replacement, which is recommended every 12-15,000 miles.

WIX Cabin Air Filters with BioShield® 75 are available through professional installers.
