Product innovations span light duty, heavy duty and industrial filtration

WIX® Filters, a member of the Affinia Group family of brands, has maintained its coverage of light duty applications above 99 percent of registered vehicles in the North American aftermarket while improving its time to market for new filters again in 2011.

“This has been another big year in WIX Filters product development,” said Donald Chilton, North American product development manager at WIX Filters. “As we constantly refine and add to our traditional heavy duty/off-highway product lines, our coverage and growth in the vehicle segment is superb; this is in addition to our industrial filtration line expansion, with close to 600 new part numbers so far this year.”

WIX has introduced 256 new light and heavy duty filters through the first nine months of 2011. This total includes 92 domestic and 67 foreign nameplate premium light duty filters. WIX also has introduced 575 new product numbers in the industrial line this year. All three categories are set for further expansions next year as well.

WIX’s industrial filtration product line now consists of more than of 8,500 part numbers for critical hydraulic, process, compressor, off-line and moisture control applications. WIX developed this new product line to serve the $36 billion dollar global industrial filtration market.
